Em alguns desses pacientes, parece haver benefício em remover cirurgicamente esses estruturas junto com o tumor primário no reto em associação ao uso de quimio e radioterapia antes da cirurgia.
In some patients with rectal tumors, malignant cells have spread to lymph nodes located in the lateral pelvis compartment.
In some of these patients, there seems to be a benefit in surgically removing these structures together with the primary tumor in the rectum in association with the use of chemo and radiotherapy before surgery.
